Parent to Parent: A Family Training Program on AD/HD is a state of the art educational program specifically designed for parents, by parents. The training is now available as online classes. You can sit in the comfort of your home; watch the presentation on your computer while interacting with the presenter by phone. The class is limited to 15 families in order to allow for interaction with the presenter and other participants. Until now the program has only been offered through local community classes.
This seven session class includes a state of the art curriculum with the training provided by national experts and the creators of the program. Each of the two hour sessions covers an area of information absolutely essential to the successful management of AD/HD. And best of all the training is from a parent’s perspective, by people who have faced the same struggles, questions and challenges you do. The class will be offered each Monday evening beginning January 22nd, during the following hours:
6:30 pm to 8:30 pm Eastern
Time
5:30 pm to 7:30 pm Central
Time
4:30 pm to 6:30 pm Mountain
Time
3:30 pm to 5:30 pm Pacific
Time
Each family participating will receive a Parent to Parent Manual full of background material, resources and articles to supplement what you are learning through the class.
Learn more about the Parent to Parent Program, including what other parents have said, at www.chadd.org/parent2parent.
Computer and Internet Connection: The training is offered via the internet and by phone simultaneously. You will need a computer connected to the internet. If you have a dial up connection, you need to have a second phone line to access the audio portion of the class. We will be sending you an internet address and a password to enter the class for each session. You will see the PowerPoint presentation on you home computer screen.
Phone Connection: In addition, you will be dialing into the
class by phone to allow you to both hear the presentation and to interact with
the presenter. The
class participation is limited to 15 families to allow for questions and interaction. Because
each class is a 2 hour session, and the call is likely to be long distance,
you may want to consider signing up for a calling plan that includes all long
distance calls at no additional charge, if you do not have one already. The
training does not have an 800 number. This would increase the cost of
the training substantially.
$100 for members
$145 for nonmembers (includes one year of family membership)
