Learn practical strategies in facing the challenges of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (AD/HD), including diagnosis and treatment, impact on parents and siblings and quality care for children with the disorder.
Expert faculty will share evidence-based scientific information about caring for children with AD/HD as published by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Learn how to use these techniques to build effective partnerships between families, communities and clinicians.
This program is provided by CHADD, the leading non-profit organization serving individuals with attention-deficit/ hyperactivity disorder (AD/HD) in partnership with the National Initiative for Children's Healthcare Quality (NICHQ), an education and research organization dedicated to improving the quality of health care to children.
Who Should Attend:
Continuing Education
This activity was planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and through the joint sponsorship of NICHQ and CHADD. NICHQ is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. NICHQ designates this educational activity for a maximum of 5.75 category 1 credits towards the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the activity. NICHQ is approved as a provider of continuing education by the Vermont State Nurses' Association, Inc., which is accredited as an approver of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. NICHQ designates this educational activity for a maximum of 6.9 contact hours. Each nurse should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the activity.
