IRS Publication 907,"Tax Highlights for Persons with Disabilities," provides key information on tax benefits available for this group of taxpayers. This publication briefly explains tax laws that apply to persons with disabilities and those who care for people with disabilities. It also provides some information on tax incentives for businesses such as the deduction for costs of removing barriers to the disabled and the elderly, the disabled access tax credit, and the work opportunity tax credit.
